LIFESTRETCH YOGA — Workshops

Summer Sangha   Jul 13th 12:30pm -3:00pm  Host: Chris Carvahlo  Cost: No Charge Event
Sanghas are a great way to try some wonderfully unique and healthy food and meet some other interesting Lifestretch Yogis. Just bring a dish to share and spend the afternoon with us. Even better, attend one of Allan's classes in the morning, then make your way to the Sangha! More details available at the studio.

Moon Salutations   Ju1 18th 8:00pm -10:00pm  Host: Alecia Davis  Cost: No Charge Event
Bring your yoga mat, water and a sweater or light jacket in case the weather cools down and a light Moon refreshment to share. Dawn will be bringing leMOONade. Rick, Colleen and Dawnl will each lead a chandra namaskar asana sequence. We can’t promise the moon will be visible, but we can still enjoy the asanas and the company.

Dharma Wheels   Jul 25 - Aug 15 (7/25, 8/1, 8/8, 8/15)   7:15 - 9:30pm  Instructors: Warren Davis & Dawn Hall   Location: Fremont    Cost: $48 for the 4 class session or $15 per class.
Classes will start with the cardio benefits of indoor cycling before moving to the yoga mat for more relaxing and meditative benefits of yoga. Join us for one or all four Dharma Wheels classes.
Dharma Wheels class will include:

  • 7 min Warm up on the bike
  • 20 min Cycling (simulation of hills and flat road riding)
  • 7 min Cool down on the bike
  • 30 min  Yoga to stretch the muscles that were contracted and contract the muscles that were stretched during our ride through vinyasa, restorative and yin yoga postures and work with foam rollers
  • 5 min Savasana
  • All fitness levels welcome. Please wear clothing appropriate for cycling (including tennis shoes) and yoga. Bring a towel and water bottle and come prepared to work up a sweat and cool down and relax.

    For those new to indoor cycling, plan to arrive at 7pm for the first class. Warren will provide basic instructions on correct Bike Set-up for each individual body type, correct fitting of gel seat for the beginner riders, bike levers and emergency brake usage,  understanding "Push Point", (first level of resistance), introduction of how to correctly monitor one's cardiovascular condition.

    Warren Davis is known as one of the best Spinning instructors in the Bay Area. He  currently teaches Spinning courses at local gyms/fitness centers such as 24 Hour Fitness, and Bally Total Fitness. Dawn Hall teaches Eclectic Yoga at Lifestretch Yoga and loves indoor cycling.
    Attendance is limited to 10 students so sign up in advance for this exciting combination of cycling and yoga!

    Morning Sadhana  July 27th   5:00 - 7:00am  Leader: Barbara Location: Fremont    Cost: Donation
    Aquarian Sadhana consists of 2-2 ½ hours of practice dedicated to our higher consciousness before the sun rises in order to have the purest & most energetic meditation that covers us for the whole day. The sequence follows:
    Reading of Japji Sahib, the Song of the Soul 20 mins
    Tuning in with Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo, yoga set, deep relaxation 35 mins
    Meditation: consisting of 7 mantra meditations 62 mins
    Closing with sacred inspirational reading, Long Time Sun & long Sat Nam 3 mins
    Yogi Tea (great for blood, colon, nervous system & bones!) and time to connect with others
    *Bring a yoga mat/blanket, meditation cushion & meditation blanket or shawl

    Lifestretch Annual Full Moon Hike   Aug 16th 7:00pm Location: Mission Peak in Fremont  Cost: No Charge Event
    Once again this year, we'll take on Mission Peak to the light of the full moon. Meet us at the Stanford entrance at 7pm for a fun and challenging hike to the top. Be sure to wear hiking shoes or good tennis shoes, bring a jacket as it does cool off and can be quite windy at the top, lots of water and other refreshments to snack on at the top as we watch the sun set and the moon rise. Bring your camera too - it's beautiful up there!
